Bleed Over tells the unseen story behind the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT), the British innovation that redefined battlefield medicine in Afghanistan and changed emergency care worldwide. From its improvised beginnings in 2005 to its last mission in 2014, the film follows the people who turned a Chinook helicopter into a flying intensive care unit; overcoming systemic resistance, adapting to new kinds of injuries, and pushing the limits of survival itself. Told through unseen footage and first-hand testimony, immersive motion graphics & news archive it reveals the human cost of saving lives in war and the enduring legacy that continues long after the fighting ended.
